What is roll birds?

Roller birds, also known as rollers, are a family of birds in the order Coraciiformes. They are found predominantly in Africa, but also in parts of Asia and Europe. Rollers are known for their distinctive rolling flight, in which they dive and somersault while airborne. This display is used to attract a mate or to establish territory.

Rollers are medium-sized birds, typically measuring around 12-14 inches in length. They have brightly colored plumage, with blues, greens, and purples being common colors. They also have a distinctive hooked beak and sharp talons, which they use to catch insects and small vertebrates.

Rollers are primarily solitary birds, but they may form small flocks during migration or when foraging. They build their nests in tree holes or abandoned cavities, and typically lay 2-6 eggs per clutch. Rollers are not considered threatened, but some species have experienced declines due to habitat loss and other human activities.
